Hayley is a recording artist performer and music teacher.

 

Having been trained as an opera singer, Hayley made the transition to contemporary music where she enjoys writing and recording her own original works with new songs soon to be released.

Hayley loves to teach music. Her teaching career began after she completed a degree at the Conservatorium of music. She teaches singing, piano and music theory. Her skill set also includes teaching braille music for vision impaired students.

Hayley conducts community choirs and sings in small ensembles. She is currently the conductor of the Mansfield Melody Makers who perform at small venues around Brisbane. Hayley leads weekly rehearsals, preparing music and vocal training exercises and organizing performance opportunities. In 2017 the choir performed as part of the ‘You’re the Voice Project’ which was an initiative of the Queensland Music Festival to raise awareness about domestic violence in our community. The choir also appeared on ABC Local Radio as a part of Rebecka Levingston’s Sunday morning program.

In 2020, Hayley joined a 3-piece vocal group who are seeking to perform and record professionally. Hayley was also the founder of Qellas also known as Bellanoteable. They released a CD in 2015 and performed at venues in Brisbane and regional areas. This group was active from 2014 to 2017.

In recent years Hayley has performed as a solo artist. She released five singles from May 2019 to January 2020 under the stage name of Ellah K.

Three are her original compositions Ice Cave, Love is Far Away and Incredible. She also released two Christmas covers O Holy Night and When a Child is Born. Hayley has also performed at the Bardon Christmas Community Christmas Carols in 2018 and 2019.

Music Career Highlights 2011-16

  • Soloist with the QPAC choir at the Friends of Heal Charity Concert 2015

  • Guest soloist at the 2014 Spirit of Christmas concerts held at the QPAC Concert Hall

  • Traveled to India and performed as part of a group in New Delhi in that same year

  • A soloist on the QPAC Choir Christmas CD 2013

  • Performed as the guest soloist and motivational speaker for the Gallipoli choir fundraising concert held at All Hallows School in 2014

  • Hayley Continues to write music, conduct choirs and teach music.
